As much joy as 2022 brought to my life, I could not be more excited to be starting this new year and looking forward to all the wonderful things I know 2023 has in store for our team and me, both personally and professionally. I have all of you to thank for our continued success and plan to make this year the best one yet.

2022 was a year full of surprises and a mixed bag of wonderful things and challenges. Our team sold more than 185 homes totaling over $130M in sales volume.

We actually had two of our biggest sales of the year toward the beginning of the year – both multi-million-dollar transactions. We started out really strong but as most know, with the rising of mortgage rates, the market slowed down quite dramatically. Nonetheless, we were still fortunate enough to do about the same amount of business as we did in 2021 despite those headwinds. This, in a year where transaction count is down industry-wide around 30% or so, is a testament to our team, business, and client base. Also, it shows that we had a growing market share and we increased the number of clients we are working with to close out the year comparable to the year prior. In fact, we added three new team members, including two agents, one being especially integral to our growth moving forward because of her knowledge and expertise in all the areas throughout SW Washington.

One of the biggest highlights of the year, which actually started the year prior, was the securing of a new office space, entirely designated to our team.

We are still in the same building as we were before, but have moved over across the hall. We hired our amazing and talented interior designer to layout and furnish the entire space and we could not be more thrilled with how it turned out. Be sure to watch for a video and entire photo package in the coming months to showcase the space we are all so proud of!

As always, we supported many local causes and charities, through our company’s Circle of Giving and beyond. We were able to give more than $40,000 back to our community and local families in need.

As a major donor to the National Association of Realtors, which promotes fair housing and many homeownership-related causes on a national level, we were honored to meet the President of NAR for a private dinner banquet here in town when she was visiting. This has always been such an important cause to our team, and our support of their efforts was upwards of $20,000 throughout the year.

And finally, as many of you know, we love to spoil our clients through various promotions throughout the year as a way to stay in touch and give back to those that have contributed so heavily to our success. We are proud to say we gave more than $60,000 back to our amazing clients last year.

The most redeemed promotion was a landslide win – our Cheesecake giveaway in November generated more than $12,000 in redemptions! The “Explore the Beautiful PNW” fuel promo in March came in with the second-highest number of redemptions, totaling nearly $8,000, and the “Back to School” promotion throughout August generated just over $7,000 in redemptions landing it in third place! You are the reason we love what we do – how fitting that our gifts back to you are one of the largest numbers we were able to put on the board for 2022!
