A Fairway View Becomes a Full-Circle Moment

Sometimes real estate becomes both personal and professional, and those are the moments that remind me again why I love this industry.

I’ve been a member of Tualatin Country Club since the early days of COVID in 2020. I’ve played the course hundreds of times, always walking, always taking in the familiar scenery. And every single time I’ve passed hole 6, I’ve noticed the same charming row of homes tucked just off the fairway. They’ve become part of my mental map of the course, the backdrop to so many rounds and a lovely reminder of the kind of neighborhood feel that makes TCC so special.

This month, I had the privilege of turning that long-time observation into something meaningful. A good friend and fellow club member hired me to represent him in the purchase of one of those very homes I’ve admired for years.

Located on Shawnee Trail, the property was built in 1970 and has been owned by the same family since day one. It’s a classic time capsule, full of potential and ready for a fresh vision. After running the numbers and positioning our offer strategically, I negotiated an incredible result for my client at 27 percent under the original list price.

From there, we rolled straight into the fun part. We met on site with our general contractor and interior designer, two incredibly innovative and detail-driven professionals that approach every project with a keen eye and exceptional precision. Together we began mapping out a several-hundred-thousand-dollar remodel that will completely reimagine the home. We’re talking raised ceilings, reworked walls, and a full return to the drawing board to create the best possible design for how this home can live its next chapter.

It’s a rare experience to help transform a house you’ve quietly admired for years, and an even greater honor to do it for a close friend and fellow TCC member. I’m excited to share updates as this home evolves, so stay tuned for future newsletters as we bring this vision to life!
